Lessons Learned.

The most important lessons I’ve learned didn’t come from business—they came from being present, being patient, and being a dad.

Liz aka Ms. Liz
My wife of 30 years — a wonderful mom, fierce advocate for Willy, and now teaching 2-year-olds (and loving it). Liz brings a deep well of insight into child development and autism spectrum disorders, and she’ll be helping with Willy’s World too.

Matthew
Matthew is living his dream as a sommelier at SingleThread Farms, a 3-Michelin-star restaurant and farm experience known for precision, storytelling, and passion. We’re incredibly proud—just wish he didn’t live so far away.

Willy - Willy is our oldest, and his special needs have deeply shaped our lives—in the best possible ways. To learn more: See Willy’s World

About Me

I started out as a bankruptcy lawyer—gaining a firsthand understanding of what happens when systems break, and how to build smarter ones from the start.

The next major step was 1998 when I joined GiftCertificates.com as employee #18, just as both the internet and gift cards were starting to take shape. I helped build out the hospitality division and saw early on how branded rewards could drive real engagement.

Starting in 2001, at Restaurant.com, I pioneered the high-value, low-cost, ease-of-fulfillment model that has defined decades of incentive and loyalty programs—generating over $100 million in sales and working with Fortune 500 companies, agencies, and platforms to scale results-driven solutions.

Most recently, I helped lead enterprise strategy at Giftogram, focusing on digital incentives and high-impact engagement programs across corporate and channel audiences.

Outside of work, I’m a high school wrestling referee and a lifelong live music fan—especially jam bands and anything in the Grateful Dead family. Wrestling keeps me focused and grounded. Music keeps me open and adaptive. Both are about rhythm, honesty, and presence—qualities I try to bring to everything I do.

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.”
— Grateful Dead

Tyson

Our rescue dog Tyson didn't just need saving—I did too. He's been by my side ever since, reminding me what loyalty, grace, and second chances really mean. If I ever got another tattoo, it'd be "Who Saved Who?" with Tyson front and center.
